Hair loss, or alopecia, can be a very frustrating condition for both men and women. Female hair loss usually starts with gradual thinning on the top of the head. On the other hand, male hair loss usually follows a pattern of a receding hairline, followed by thinning of the hair on the crown and temples.
Various factors can be the cause of hair loss, especially considering our modern lifestyle. These may include stress, water pollution and the harmful chemicals found in hair products, along with excessive styling. However, the most dramatic results of receding hair line are usually related to hormonal shifts in females and hereditary conditions in males.
